Yesterday, Disney and Lucasfilm announced their new Star Wars promotion: “Mando Mondays”. With articles from The Mandalorian, Mando Mondays will be an “all-new global program of consumer products, games and publishing that will begin on October 26 and launch products inspired by the show.” The products include a plethora of The Child offers, some of which we told you about on Monday. These include a bust of Gentle Giant and a new LEGO set of everyone’s favorite Baby Yoda. Additionally, Hasbro has also gotten into the action with its new collection of Black Series Credits from The Mandalorian The figures.
Now, of course, that may sound like a grab of money from Hasbro. But why not? How many collectors have multiple versions of the same figure just because they like the character? I know of one that has a half room dedicated to Boba Fett alone. With the Credit Collection series, however, you don’t just get a repeat of the same numbers from before. These are definitely unique.
Hasbro Credit Collection arrives in the Black Series
Each 6-inch figure in the new series features a retro-style card back with a stylized image of the character in question. Likewise, each figurine is accompanied by an imperial credit of different denominations (hence the name “Credit Collection”). The details of these figures are what really sets them apart, however, with vivid colors and extraordinary precision.
So far, offerings include Din Djarin (the Mandalorian), Paz Vizla (The Mandalorian Heavy Infantry), Gina Carano’s Cara Dune, and IG-11. We think more are on the way, as we’ve seen Stormtroopers and Death Troopers from the series arrive for the regular black series before. Don’t be surprised if they also appear in the Credits Collection.
Starwars.com will reveal new items every Monday until The Mandalorian Season 2, which will begin on October 30. Which characters from the show do you want to see in the credit collection? Greef Cargo? Moff Gideon? Kuil? Personally, we stand firm for Zero and Gekko.
