BEP celebrates Chinese New Year with the Year of the Pig 2019

To celebrate the next Chinese lunar new year, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is pleased to announce the newest addition to its Lucky Money Collection: Year of the Pig 2019!

The “pig” is one of the 12 zodiac signs associated with the Chinese lunar calendar. The Year of the Pig 2019 is beautifully designed with decorative Chinese symbolism and comes wrapped in a red symbolic folder with embossed gold leaf. This product has a Federal Reserve $ 1 note with a serial number starting with “8888”. The year of the pig 2019 symbolizes the character traits of loyalty and honesty. This product costs $ 5.95 and only 108,888 will be available for sale.

the Year of the Pig 2019 the first day of sale is Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. (ET). Household quantity purchase limit restrictions of 250 units for the Year of the Pig 2019 will be imposed during the first two days of the release. On December 20, 2018, household purchasing restrictions will be lifted.
